Roberto Baggio is an Italian international footballer, playing as an attacker or offensive midfielder from the 1980s to the 2000s.
Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the year in 1993, he is considered one of the best Italian strikers in history and one of the greatest football players of all time. He is named by Pelé in the FIFA 100, a list of the world’s greatest living players in 2004.
In 19 seasons in Serie A, he played 453 games and scored 205 goals. With the Italian team (56 caps and 27 goals), he participated in three World Cups (9 goals) and was a finalist in 1994, where he missed the decisive penalty in the shootout of the final against Brazil.
